Oddbins

we are a young couple, and I (the man) know nothing about wine. The clerk who was there in a particularly evening was very knowledgeable and incredibly friendly, and made me feel comfortable asking questions, without hurting my male pride.
He was very well spoken and really made me conscious to try and pay more attention to what I drink.
In the end we took up his recommendations and had two excellent bottles of wine, shared with some knowledgeable elderly folk.
Will certainly go back there any time.

There is a negative review on the site that I think may have been posted during the time that Oddbins was in administration/in doubt. Was a tough time for all involved, and maybe they could not recruit to provide full cover. I was really impressed with how they kept things going during that time. But even then I have always found Oddbins staff in Kennington unfailingly friendly and knowledgeable. Very glad they are still there!

I came to odbins to purchase bottle of wine for lunch we had the inlaws visiting. The shop was closed at 1pm with a sign saying back in 5mins. I waited for 20mins no one to be seen. Very disappointed!!!
