The Duck Pond Market in Ruislip began in 2008, and has now grown to over 100 stalls selling antiques, farm food and hand crafted goods. The Great Barn, where the market is located, is a heritage conservation site and Grade II listed building. The market takes place every third Sunday of the month from 10 am to 3 pm, and organisers have tried to add a festival atmosphere to the proceedings by incorporating live music, face painting and other children’s activities as well as a petting zoo. The food stalls source their food from local and ethical providers (a farmer’s food market also takes place on the site) and you can usually find freshly baked break and a barbecue. Parking is free and there are bicycle racks for cyclists. Other Duck Pond markets are located in Richmond, Iver and Watford, the aim being to give local producers and small businesses the chance to get together.

Fantastic range of stalls this week, some old favourites and some new ones. The stallholders are all so passionate about their wares, so much is hand and home made, natural ingredients and amazing talent. Perfect place to buy food, lunch, birthday presents, gifts for yourself, jewellery or just browse- a slower pace of life! I go to the farmers and the artisan markets and they are both fab. Fun for the whole family and you get to support your local community.

Love this market, as does my little boy. Plenty of interesting and unique products plus activities to keep the little ones occupied. Ruislip is a nicer town on a Sunday because of this little gem. Highly recommend to families and people looking for an 'off the high street' shopping experience. Great food too!

We've been going to Duck Pond Market in Ruislip (both the farmers and the artisan) for over 4 years now. It's always a great family day out to the point that my daughter has developed her Duck Pond routine- face paint, cupcake, bouncy castle! The stallholders are generally a friendly bunch and it's obvious that they get to know their regular customers. It's a great place to browse or shop, especially around Christmas and other celebrations such as Mother's Day.

I found it to be a bit cramped there, maybe if there were a few less stalls, it would make more room for people to move around. There are a few of the same type of stalls, a wider variety of different stalls would be good. Nice to have a little market there though.
