Edmonton’s very own shopping centre has over 120 shops, 40 market stalls and eateries. There is a mixture of independent retailers and high street shops catering to most needs: fashion, kidswear, electrical stores, grocery shopping, home furnishings, stationery and games shops among others, making this a popular spot for shoppers whether they’re after essential groceries or just an afternoon of retail therapy. The site of the mall has always been the bustling centre of Edmonton with market stalls, travelling circuses and fairs establishing themselves here. There are opticians, chemists, health food stores, hair dressers and nail boutiques, and while you’re shopping or having your hair cut you can drop your clothes off at the dry cleaners or get your boots re-heeled. Additionally there is a post office, several banks, an internet café and library. The eating options are better than the average food court fast food fare; you can choose from an Italian deli, Caribbean café, Turkish restaurant and Chinese buffet after which you can sink a few pints in the Railway Tavern. The shopping centre has over 1,000 parking spaces with ample disabled parking. It’s open Monday to Saturday till 6pm and till 4pm on Sundays.
