There are lots of options for travelling between Gatwick, Central London and other UK destinations.

Gatwick Express is the quickest way of travelling between central London and Gatwick Airport. The direct journey takes just 30 minutes from London Victoria to Gatwick. A standard single ticket costs £16.90 and a standard return just under half the cost of two singles. Tickets can be bought at the station, online in advance and on the train itself.

National Rail services run directly from Gatwick's South Terminal (which lies only a few minutes away from the North Terminal by free transit train link). There are several rail services at Gatwick Airport.
First Capital Connect offers a service with departures every 15 minutes through Sussex to Brighton; other services depart every 15 minutes north to East Croydon, central London (King's Cross Thameslink), Luton and Bedford. There are also connecting services north from King's Cross to Cambridge, King's Lynn and Peterborough.

Southern offers a service to London Victoria with departures every quarter of an hour during the day and every hour during the night. The northbound Victoria services always stop at East Croydon and Clapham Junction. There are direct services to Brighton, Eastbourne, Portsmouth and Southampton. A single ticket to London Victoria costs around £10 with a journey time of 35 minutes.

South Eastern offers services to Redhill, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
First Great Western Link offers services to Redhill, Guilford and Reading. You can change at Reading for services to Oxford, Worcester, Swindon, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bath, Bristol, Taunton, Exeter, Plymouth and to stations further out in the South West.

Virgin Trains offer services to destinations such as Birmingham, Manchester and Edinburgh.

National Express tickets at the ticket desks in the North and South terminals. For the majority of services you can book your tickets in advance.

Easybus EB3 service to London Victoria operates up to every 20 minutes, seven days a week and for over 20 hours a day. The journey normally takes 65-80 minutes. If you book in advance, a single ticket starts from £2 per person.

There are direct local bus services to and from both Gatwick terminals into Crawley, Horley, Redhill and Horsham, as well as other local destinations.

By car Gatwick is situated 28 miles (45km) south of London and is linked directly to the M23 at Junction 9 as well as to the A23 London-Brighton road. The M25 is also just a ten minute. The postcodes for satellite navigation are RH6 0RN for the South Terminal and RH6 0PJ for the North Terminal.

Brighton is 28 miles away from Gatwick, Cambridge is 96 miles away, Clapham is 25 miles away, Croydon is 19 miles away, Guildford is 34 miles away, London is 28 miles away, Portsmouth is 62 miles away.
