Alli Pills - Guinnea Pig Experiment

I have decided that I am fed up with trying to lose weight on my own. I changed my diet for the better, I go to the gym and do Kung Fu each week... and yet I can't shift any weight. In fact, I am heavier than ever.

I'm fed up of seeing the Facebook photos that get uploaded and my tubby self oinking away in them.

I have taken a different type of weight loss pill before, an appetite suppressant. It worked. You did not feel hungry on this pill. However, that meant that you ran the risk of going an entire day without eating, which is dangerous. And you woud have to force something down. Also, the side effects weren't good, those pills made me frustrated and angry. So I stopped taking them.

So I'm going to be AIL's guinnea pig and try these ones. I'll keep a diary in this thread and those entries will be in italics, so you can diffrentiate them from general conversation.

For those who haven't heard about Alli, basically they are a diet aid. You need to eat low amounts of fat when you take them otherwise you get The Side-Effects. What they do is absorb about 30% of the fat from what you eat into your body. The rest comes out with yo' poo poos. Hence why you shouldn't eat fatty things... It's a good way of getting you to cut down, I suppose, no one likes a 'mess'. If used right, they can help you lose 50% extra weight. So if you lose 2lbs, you will lose an extra 1lb with Alli.

Here goes...

Hi there KF,

This is something that a lot of people will find very interesting and we'll look at publishing it properly if you can keep up the diary :)

Make sure you read the label and check with your doctor before doing this kind of thing though

Good luck and stay safe and healthy.

Sure thing. Kind of my thinking of why I started the thread. Instead of jumping into it, people can see what someone else's experience is/was like.

However, everyone is different and some people may have more 'side effects' than others. Also you will only be given alli if you have a BMI of 28% or above.

Day Two - Took two pills today. Though didn't eat much, had toast at about midday and then chicken, jacket potato and salad for din dins. Still no sign of the dreaded Side Effects. Have had a few spots appear on my face. Am not generally a spotty person, but too early to tell if it's related. Maybe I'm just sweaty or something.

Had... Four (I think) pints of lager (naughty me) but don't know how 'fatty' they are. Time will tell I suppose.

Anyway, verdict on day two... All's fine so far.
