I am currently living in America and found someone to my liking, who lives in London. I am curious to know if there are any ways for me to move there and obtain residence aside from marriage or work visas?

Hi David

Welcome to the Forum

The Home Office website should tell you all you need to know...

Here is a web address pertaining to the situation you may be facing

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ukresidency/eligibility/partnersandchildren/unmarriedpartner/

I hope it works out for you. The danger is that if it does not you will be out quite a bit of money (in travel costs and cost of living in the Capital).
