Hi All

I'm an experienced actor and have recently moved to London. Can anyone recommend any quality agencies I could send my details on to? Or any I should stay away from?

I've been doing some research but any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time

My friend Edward Olive has some good information on his website:
http://www.eduardolive.com in the links section that could help you out.

Also, there are a few acting websites that will let you post your profile for free that you should sign up at. Like http://uk.castingcallpro.com/ for example.

You should also check with Equity Actor's Union to see a list of registered agencies or ask if there are any registerd complaints.

I will be moving to London within the year. I could help share the information I come up with and maybe you can help me find a cheap place to stay in the zone 1 or 2 area?

It is good to team up and share information.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I do have a list of agents but was after some London actors personal feedback on known 'good agents' v 'not so good agents' to narrow down the search.

Since posting this I've realised I just need to go through the process like I have before.

As for flats in London when we moved here we found

www.gumtree.com
www.moveandstay.com www.mydesres.com/areainfo.aspx

all useful sites to use for lets or flat share. As well as Staying In London Forum on this site.

All the best.

Jacor.

Thanks for the info.
I realize that the leads I gave you were pretty general as I am not there yet and have not made the rounds.
Usually when I get to a new town I sign up with all of the agencies that will have me for free to do TV commercials and other publicity and then narrow down the feild when looking for my Theatrical (film) representaion.
When I get there and have some London experience under my belt I will let you know more specifically what you were asking about.
