Hi there,

I'm looking for somewhere to live in London (might be moving there in September).

I was thinking of Islington, within walking distance of nice pubs and things, and also walking distance of highbury and islington station, but ideally a quietish street! Also ideally a pleasant street - nice looking, feels safe etc. Is this possible? Does such an area exist? Or it a choice of rough quiet areas or uber trendy and noisy areas?

Can anyone give me some advice to help me avoid going to london and running round all the streets within a mile radius?!

Thanks so much!

Lucy

PS if there's anywhere else which is a nice area to live on the victoria line please tell me too! But I had heard that further out from h+i station it gets a bit nasty - is that right???

Most of that area is a lovely place to live. If you would like quieter streets then search slightly off the main steets/roads as there is a fair bit of traffic constantly going down liverpool road and upper street, etc. I think DeBeauvoir town is quieter and nice...and close to Highbury and Islington. Good luck!
