Recently, I found out my family is moving to London from NYC, and because of the incredible nature of the new job, the company will literally pay for whatever house we want, but, I think 50K a month is obscene enough, so if anyone has any dream houses they want to tell me about, please do. At a minimum, the place has to have at least 4 Bedrooms, and be in a top of the line area, of course, in or near london. Ideally, I would like it to be at least 6000 or 7000 sqft. (Don't know the meter conversion to sqm.) Also, even though the company pays for everything, and I have a literally unlimited budget, I would feel personally uncomfortable costing the company more than 50K, and costing them less is just fine. I know this sounds ridiculous, especially since I'm using a forum like this, but since I don't know anything about London, or the nice areas, I figured I'd start here, and learn at least a little, and maybe a lot, and then move on to a real estate company, and I'm truly not kidding.

Also, I heard something about the difficulty of having a large car in the city of london, and that it is ideal to have something really small like a BMW 1 series, or a Mercedes B class, is that true? And if it is, what other small luxury cars are there like those 2?

Wow, nice to have a company giving you a blank cheque to relocate to London. Whilst my initial reaction to this was that it's someone lying to sound impressive I'll reserve judgment and try and be helpful :)

For that budget you can be right in the centre of Mayfair in a townhouse, any top end estate agent will be happy to look after you!

As for the car parking is your major concern but with that budget you could rent an underground space and drive whatever you like. I don't think the size of the car really matters in London, what matters is the decision to have one or not, if you can live without it your life will be less stressful but again, with that budget a lot of those stresses won't exist.

Good luck!

Yep, pretty much agree with TheMog there, London is your oyster with that kind of budget. You could live a very lavish lifestyle for a lot less than that.

just cause i can be skeptic

i would wonder why someone with a 600,000 pound a year living budget would start on a forum (even though you picked by far the bestest ever london forum on the web) to ask about real estate.

i mean i am sure u have heard of monopoly - the board game. every fancy, upper class place in london is on it and it wouldnt take you very long to google london real estate and find the top two real estate agents, and thus get what you're looking for.

now finished being a skeptic - you'll want to hit up

www.wetherell.co.uk - he's the number one salesman in mayfair area and offiecs are located in mayfair as well.

also www.foxtons.co.uk is reasonably good if you're after stuff in that budget - as it shows mayfair and all surrounding regions of high class living - ie marlebone soho belgravia fitzrovia notting hill knightsbridge etc

knock yourself out ey?

and as for car parking - use some of that 50k a month rent allowance to rent a spot in park lane parking complex or a few other garages fro rent throughout the mews in mayfair.

i assume you know wat the mews are?
