Is East Finchley a decent place to live in?

Hi, I am moving to London by the end of this month. I needed to know if East Finchley is a nice place to live in? my boy friend has done some house hunting and has found a place there, hes found a few more places but this place looks the best (in the snaps). Is it an expensive location (I am not paying the rent for the first few months and I dont want him to pay too much)

My concerns are-is it central? and Is it safe-ish?

Only your bf can tell you if tyherent is expensive or not... you can get bargains, for example even in 'expensive' areas.

You can get the tube into the centre of London, too. And probably a bus... I can't say I'm an expert on the area.

Crime happens everywhere, too. Don't be too concerned about that :)
