The cheese toastie

I just made a simple old cheese toastie for lunch on the AIL toastie maker. With ketchup it really was one of the best lunches I've had in ages.

Why is it that the ingredients are identical and the cooking process very similar yet the taste of a toastie is far better than cheese on toast... one of life's mysteries I suppose.

Anyone else have a nice lunch?

Had a ham/cheese/tomato toastie for tea tonight - and couldn't agree with you more that it's nicer than just melted on toast - perhaps because there's two sides of bread on either side?

Hmmm.

Mmmmm.

I'm partial to a "Toast Hawaii" when in Germany. Ham, melted cheese and pineapple on toast, it's what everyone eats in Hawaii I believe.

:tongue2:

Today for my lunch I gots cheese and onion crisps and cadbury chocolate. I eat a crisp then eat some chocolate then eat a crisp then chocolate. For some reason I find it works. It shouldn't.

For best results use Whole Nut.
