LIVING IN LONDON

hi everybody!,
as soon I will move to London to find job, I wanted to ask where do you advise me to stay, in an apartment or in a hostel? you know some cheap hostel or apartment near Oxford Street or at least a website where to look for?

I would normally rent a private room in someone's house. East London is probably cheaper than West. If you are used to student way of life then Hostels may be a good option. However, I have no idea of their costs.
