H everyone!!!

I'm starting this new topic because I noticed NO ONE has tried to do this before. I'm a bit frustrated with the restaurant industry in London, because there are SO MANY places that just abuse the staff, mistreat them, or they just don't pay very much as they promise, stealing money from the service charge! I would like people to be honest and NAME those places that are bad as well as places that are good to work for. I think that if people started expressing this, it would be the first step to avoid abuse from this very corrupted industry! DOES ANYONE AGREE?

Hi, there!

In every restaurant you have to be very careful, make them aware that you count your hours, you know your rights straight away. I do know many people working in the industry and those recommend Palm Beach Casino to work for. Also, Gaucho Grill is not a bad place and you can make really good money there as well as Zuma in Knightsbridge. Most of the places won't give you the tips and will take most of the service charge you earn, so you end up with very poor wages from 5.8 per hour to 8. Those are places like Gilgamesh in Camden, Diverso in Mayfair. The places, which hire you without the contract and fire after 2 weeks without payment: Dollar Farringdon, Beach Blanket Babylon Shoreditch and Notting Hill, Studio Valbonne Kingly Street. Be wary!

Hope that helps
