uk electricians

Hi all,
Im probably moving over to live in london around August/September.
Does anyone know what is required for a fully qualified Aussie Electrician
to work in the UK, can the australian license simply be changed over or
do they have some sort of a system in place.

From my point we make sure that all of our plumbers have UK qualifications. Even if they have previously been qualified overseas. Not sure if it is the same for electricians.
