Anyone suffered with this, or know someone who has?

I was diagnosed with it the other day Sad Explains a lot... I thought it was my weight or diet making me ill. Is not a fun condition to have Sad

Been given some tummy pills to handle it, but I'm a bit vague on the details of Gastritis. I don't know if it clears up quicky or takes a while.

Anyway, means I gots to lay off the spicy foods Sad

oh, don't panic) you will survive :) I think majority of students know what does Gastrit means. Because we eat everything being on foot, we are so nervuos with exams and so on. For ex. i have it and my friends have it in different variations)
As a result, I have great stomach-ache when i am nervous and panic, and this illness makes me so sick sometimes..
May be you have nervous hard work? Or you prefere harmful food? ;)
As for me, twice a year I drink special med. drugs and I feel OK.
You can keep your diet! But you would not eat a lot of fast food, spicy food, salty food or sweets :)in small counts you can eat everything you want! But you know, truely speaking, sometimes I eat something tasty and think "I agree to die after this dinner, but I will eat it!!" It is better to eat normal food in times of breakfast, dinner and supper, not between them! Your stomach is not a forever-working-mechanism :). But try to avoid hunger..
I can add: It is important to drink milk products..in Russia we name it "kefir", i don't know how to explain it to you, but i think you have some similar soured-milk beverages in markets. Don't be nervous! More over I think you doctor will tell you about some useful med. drugs. All be OK!

Sounds similar but not quite the same. Gastritis isn't caused by say fast food, for example. It can however be caused by stress, but feeling I'll when you're nervous is normal for anyone! I was in crippling pain most often during the night. And very bloated feeling. I've had these pains for a few years.

I think my problem is stress induced. Is likely that I have an ulcer. Like I say, I'm on medication at the moment which reduces the acid in the stomach. Is helping so far, but as yet because it's not clear the extent of how bad the inflamation is, I hope when I run out of pills it doesn't go back to how it was. If it does start hurting again, I'll need a camera down the throat :(

Oh dear!

On a related note though, these tummy pills I'm on are working a treat! I didn't realise just how uncomfortable and hurty I was before. It was constant. I just hot used to it and just thought the pains in the night were the unusual thing.
