Having looked at my bookshelf over the weekend and noticed it's all books that are either about technology or have been written by Jeremy Clarkson or Richard Hammond I realised that I need to read more!

So, I've decided to start reading again and need a reading list. What are the classic books (anything apart from romance novels) that I really should have read by now (age 32)? It can be anything, from Stephen Hawking to Darwin to Stephen Fry, I just need a list of important literature that will expand my mind and more importantly my vocabulary.

Any contributions welcome

I would like to read more too! My fiance (hehe) and I were in the shop "Works" the other week and he picked up a couple of books, which really made me want to. But I have enough on my shelf at the mo that I really should read first. Mainly biography's. I'm reading a book called, "The Secret" at the mo. It's not a story. It's a book about the secret to life. Very positive
My fiance (hehe) finshed reading "Flashforward" not that long ago, he said it was great. If you like the series, the book probs would be better...
