I'm a 24 years old female from Canada. I just got a 7 month internship in london that starts in August. I have no idea where to even begin looking for a place to live. I want to share since I need the cheapest place possible. My work will be near the blackfriers tube station, but I have no idea where I should look to live. What are some good locations? Thanks for any help Happy

Hi! Get a room in a house or Flat share. Try www.gumtree.com ! has lots of rooms available! and upmystreet.com to see who your neighbours will be. Good Places are Fulham, Clapham Common etc.. around £400 a month is an average. Try to stay inside either Zone 1 or 2! contact me on [email protected] if you need more info! Good Luck Happy

Agreed, Clapham would be a good place to look, I'd imagine you could find a decent cheap(ish) flat share there. Transport to Blackfriars would involve a change at Embankment, or a walk along the river Happy A big problem with Clapham is the tube stations at peak times, it gets unbelievably crowded, if you're claustrophobic either live somewhere else or avoid peak times.

Fulham would also be a good option, nice and easy to get to Blackfriars along the district line.

Other areas you might want to try are Islington, Camden or somewhere further out to the west like Chiswick.

Hope that helps,
Mogwai
