Just looking for a live music night...just something chilled and relaxed for unsigned musicians or walk in jam nights. Preferably round the central london/west london are.

Hoping someone can recommend something.

EQ Bar in Islington has an 'Inspired Acoustic' Night the last thursday of the month. Featuring some of Londons hottest independant artists. Very professionally done and free entry. check out www.eq-bar.com to see the bar. good luck see your there.

i run a free entry open mic, every tuesday.. @ the half moon, right near herne hill train station (10 Half Moon Lane, Herne Hill, London, SE24 9HU)..sign-ups from 7, doors 8pm-midnight.. we have a large, and beautiful sounding p.a., professional engineers, and half price pizza! all music welcome, from spoken word, to solo musicians, and acoustic singer/songwriters.. relaxed atmosphere, receptive audiences.. bring down your lyric book, your instrument, and yourself!

I have just started a friday night in South London (Stockwell) called 'SING FOR YOUR SUPPER'. The premise is anyone who plays or sings will get a drink, do two and you'll get fed (luxury burger, chips and salad).
The pub is called the royal albert and the address is 43 St Stephens Terrace, SW8 1DL it's on facebook under events 'sing for your supper'.

The popular Open Mic Sessions take place at the Horatia Pub just 5 minutes walk from Highbury & Islington station. The Horatia has become a real hangout for you to ease you into the weekend whilst hearing some great music. Enjoy the venue's great selection of premium drinks and food fresh from the kitchen. Table and area bookings for group parties are also taken.

Expect to hear a eclectic mix of talents and styles encompassing indie, folk, new wave, rock and trumpet players. Please do not expect a night of bulk standard cover version of Oasis, here is a chance to hear original, great raw talent. The Lipstick Melodies, Benjamin Thomas, and The Moore to name a few have all performed recently, and bands are most welcome too as the venue prides it self on a great PA in-house.
