My friend and I are planning on going to London for a week in July of '11 as a senior trip! We're trying to figure out where we should go to shop, eat, see, stay, etc. during our stay. Are their any sites where we can receive free travel books/guides in the mail? Any suggestions as to where we should go?

Thanks!

Hello, I have no idea where you obtain a free guide from but you can get London guides from any book shop. I can give you some info on where I love to go. Covent Garden, some intersting shops and an indoor market there oh theres some funny street theatre to at times. Just before you get to Leicester Square there's a place called Pasaje Del Terror, if you love horror films, go there. Stay away from Madame Tussauds wax museum, it's very pricey, you have to que up for ages and it isnt really worth the money. Oxford Circus, Regent Street is where all the main shops are. The restaurants are pretty pricey. If you want to do something for free you could check to see if there are any film premieres at Leciester Square during you stay. The only other thing is don't look like a typical tourist there are plenty of theives in London. If you get lost travel by Underground and always ask the Underground staff for help. I hope that was some help.
