Is it true that most cockneys enjoy nothing more than going down the Mile End Road and tucking into a plate of jellied eals? (I paraphrase a little here)

Or do you prefer caviar from Fortnum and Masons?

yep, most cockneys enjoy nothing more than going down the Mile End Road and tucking into a plate of jellied eels. Just like most northerners wear flat caps and most Scots play the bagpipes in a kilt.

Oh and most Brits just love to be stereotyped, so carry on with the good work :getmycoat:

I would rather eat my hand than jellied eals - they sound absolutely revolting to me.. although I wouldn't really class myself as a cockney so that would explain it!

Am almost ashamed to say I don't like them. But my family does. Mum loves them. I like proper pie, mash and liquor though. Had some yesterday, in fact. Nummmm!

As a Yorkshireman myself i am never happier than when shoving a ferret down my trousers and lamenting the closure of coal mines. (And if you believe that you'll believe anything)

I've always wondered, do Yorkshiremen do both at the same time? Quite a feat to concentrate on the latter while doing the former

Let's keep it light in here, a bit like Noel's House Party - there was no mention of ferrets in trousers on that show.
