Living a life
What's the right word for living?
Because 'living' is not enough.
All the same I can't call it 'life'.
Noun is something static, something like apple, or table, or knife.
And here is suffering, struggling,
Fighting, breathing, forgiving,
Loving, missing, forgetting
And again - loving, every time even stronger,
As if it can be the last time (and it can!),
Eating, drinking, sleeping,
Waking up, walking, working,
Dating, waiting,
Far more often expecting and hoping,
Than getting,
Crying, trying, loving,
Oh it came across higher,
Never mind - it never repeats,
Trusting, relying, then crying,
Or never leaking a tear.
Dying from passion or hunger,
Dying from jealousy, rage,
Dying from laughter or pleasure,
Dying to know or to have.
Aging and aching and dying,
Simply, without continuation,
Smiling and loving this 'life',
Hating this word as it hardly
Can ever describe
What are we feeling and thinking
And worrying and joying...
So if there is the right word,
There's only one who knows or who bears to name,
The One who creates it ...
