Hi all,

I know that Peckham had a share of it's bad days in the recent past, but I was wondering, have it changed at all? I'm coming to live there (from abroad) soon for a couple of months and I'd like to know what to expect there. Just the general idea of the area.

Avoid a couple of blokes if they try to sell you anything. The Trotters they're called. Dodgy gear!

If they try to sell my anything, then I obviously haven't managed to avoid them :D But I get it, I'd do the same anywhere probably. Any particular areas I should avoid?

I have a friend who lived in Nunhead and visited her a few times and it's quite nice around there. Nice streets and always seemed pretty quiet and friendly. She was an accountant with a little baby and knew quite a few mums so can't have been that bad or she would have left. I don't think Peckham High Street is very nice from driving down it a few times, but don't really know more about it than that.

I hear there is a nice flat to let in Nelson Mandella House.
