hey everyone!
I am rahanna and im in my senior year of high school. I will be eighteen in the summer. If i graduate, and I hope I will, I am planning on going to England for a year. I really want to live in London that year. I would love to travel and it seemed like good idea to move to England to learn living more on my own and to improve my English. I am born in the Netherlands and that is where I still live.

I hope to be moving around September/October. I am looking for information, but I am completely in the dark. I already had in mind; living in a host-family, and maybe get shelter there by helping with the house or anything. If this is not possible I was thinking of a part time job combined with some student-house?

Like you can all see, those are very general ideas. So I would love to have some Londoners with tips, ideas, organizations, names etc! I would really appreciate it, and maybe have some contacts already!

Also; if you know better options or ideas I would love to hear them, everything that can help me further in my search. If you know some people who have done the same i would love to be in touch. Thanks already!

yours faithfully
Rahanna

ps: I will introduce myself more at a topic meant for that.

Hi again,
You could always come over as an Au Pair - that way you work for a certain number of hours a week to get your accommodation and some pocket money, but are free to do what you like the rest of the time. With your language skills you should also have a good choice of agencies to choose from.
Good luck!
