Hello,

Having read the posts on this site and trawled the internet for Hen party ideas that didn't involve giant genitals and L-plates, I thought I'd share with you what I did for my hen, as it was such a lovely day that I'd like to spread the word.

Betty Blythe is delightful, vintage Tea Shop & Fine Food Pantry in Brook Green, West London. With and upstairs cafe and a pretty tea room downstairs, Betty Blythe is perfect for baby showers, hen dos and girlie afternoons.

I had my hen do there last year; 14 girls, afternoon tea served in the loveliest china, delicious food that never seemed to finish, bring your own booze, a chest of drawers full of vintage clothes to dress up in and activities such as cupcake decorating and vintage styling sessions made for an incredibly special day (and from what the girls said, very reasonable too).

The staff are really friendly and will work with you to plan your menu and any activities. Also, if you're looking to do a picnic outside, they can do hampers for you and deliver them to nearby parks - amazing!

anyway, you can find them at www.bettyblythe.co.uk or have a chat on 0207 602 1177
Hope that helps!

Sounds pretty nice.

It's my hen do this weekend and I've been avoiding the L plates and penis objects. We're doing a cowboys and Indians dress up karaoke. Was going to do a day trip to France but only a handful of people could have come to that so settled on cheap and cheerful!
