AIL Competitions

Just a nosey question.

You know all the competitions you do, roughly how many people enter each competition?
I have yet to win a prize and I've been entering your comps for yonks, so i think that clearly you system isn't loving me..... have a word with it please ;) :shout:

RE: competitions, it varies depending on the prize but usually we're getting between 500 - 10,000 entries for each competition. When we started out with competitions back in 2006/7 the comps were entered by much lower numbers of people and so it wasn't uncommon to see the same names pop up as winners.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't won anything recently, although I guess it shows at least the system isn't biased towards AIL's top users ;)


As much as I know it must annoy you to keep hearing it we do really have plans for more competitions but we've just not been able to get around to launching them. The Friday 4 will be making a come back and will be the first thing launched.

I've only ever won a prize from the friday four + the song lyrics & a few things from QMB :laugh: many moons ago.

I enter the comps on your site but I've never won any.

10,000 entries seems like a huge amount of entries.... not that i know much about running competitions or anything. Just wonder if people have more than one account or something cos that seems very high..... no wonder little old me gets lost in amongst all those entries
