A bit more about the event....
DoodleDate is a speed dating event with a difference: instead of spending three-four minutes talking with a stranger of the opposite sex before moving on to the next person, you will spend this time drawing with them - you can doodle whatever you like, create a picture together, attempt a conversation through picture, or, if you aren't feeling the draw of your pen, you can just chat and get to know each other in a more conventional way!
All this will be led by two of our friendliest DoodleDate Ambassadors, who will be on hand to provide you with any materials, cupcakes and answer any of your questions.
We have found that this provides a great ice-breaker and gives an interesting and creative (and often funny!) way of getting to know the other people that are there. The idea comes from research done by artists at the University of Brighton.
We provide all the pens, pencils, paper and materials. There will be a break to get yourself a drink and have a mingle, and an opportunity at the end of the evening once you have had a chance to draw with everybody, to look over the pictures and chat with potential soul mates.
