Accessible bars which serve pilsner for a Billy No Mates

I'd like to find a bar/club to which I can go to alone, chat with some friendly strangers for the night and drink pilsner (for those of you who don't know, that's a type of hoppy, usually central european lager e.g. Budvar, Tyskie, [insertbrandnamehere] Pils) without dancing. It has to have a fairly lax door policy as I get turned away a lot (in Camden anyway), presumably because of my poor dress sense and apparent youth. The music is irrelevant because I listen to new wave.

Try the Cross Keys on Endell Street. Dark, good atmosphere and some nice beers. You'll go very much unnoticed.
