Skye Gyngell quits Petersham Nurseries

Skye Gyngell has quit as chef of Petersham Nurseries and claims the Michelin star awarded to the restaurant in 2011 was a curse. Diners' expectations rose and so did the number of complaints they received, over things like starched linen and only offering one type of cheese.

I'd imagine that kind of stuff would drive a chef mad, especially one who's worked so hard to make such a uniquely different restaurant so popular.

here here... I went to the tea house there are while back and loved its quirkiness - can people not accept that not everything has to be the same. Variety is the spice of life and all that! Hopefully she'll now move on to something else and make that just as amazing as Petersham Nurseries :)
