From Gatwick to Central London

I'm going to London at the end of Sep. This will be my first trip to London, and I will like to know which is the best way to go from Gatwick to Central London, preferably to London's King Cross St. Pancras.

You can get a First Capital Connect train from Gatwick Airport to Kings Cross Thameslink, which is a two minute walk to Kings Cross St. Pancras. It would be better if you waited for an express train as there are alot of stops if you want to get a slow train.
