Holiday Inn Hotels London - any good?

Hi there,

I've got a group of people coming to London for an event I'm organising. They all need accommodation for the weekend and I've been looking into various hotels in the part of London I live in.

There's a couple of Holiday Inn Hotels that they could stay at, an Express and a normal Holiday Inn. Not being a very well travelled person I'm not too knowledgable about hotels. What are Holiday Inn hotels like? Are they a decent standard? The people who are visiting are used to high standards, would I insult them by booking them into a Holiday Inn or would it be ok? they look fine on the official website.

Cheers,
Mogwai

I think Holiday inn would be fine for what you need, and although holiday inn express is a good cheap way to stay, if your guests are used to a good standard, please use holiday inn, not the express, as less services are on offer in the express part of holiday inn.

In a word, holiday in would be fine in my opinion.

Hi Marc,

Cheers for your help, the express is the cheaper of the two then I take it? I'll probably book the standard Holiday Inn then, the smaller independent hotels I've found in the area look very basic.

Cheers all,
Mogwai

Hi Mogwai,

As marc said Holiday Inn Express hotels are pretty basic basic in general, it depends on what you expect from a hotel.

The Holiday Inns tend to offer more service and the hotels are usually fininshed to a higher level. I know friends who have stayed at the Holiday Inn Kensington and thought it was great for the money in that location.

Hope that helps in some way Happy

All the best,
