More motorbike bays

We need more motorbike bays in London. One car parking space could provide parking for about 6 bikes and bikes are much greener than cars. Why aren't the councils doing anything about this?

This is a good point, you'd think this would be an obvious way to encourage people not to take cars into central London.

I'm not a huge fan of mopeds and bikes in London as they seem to ignore the traffic signals, I've nearly been run over by several mopeds in town. Still they clearly are a more eco-friendly way to get around the city.
