Who can suggest great places to go to meet fab 40 plus professional singles?

Hi!!! My friends and I are interested in discovering new places in London where single 40 something professionals go. Who can recommend fun, friendly, inexpensive places to meet great people of different backgrounds? We are a bi over organised single events or meet markets. Where do older, single Aussies, Irish, Scottish people go, for example. Can anyone recommend great places in London where you can listen to live music - accoustic, piano baar etc - where you can enjoy a great meal but also be able to sustain a conversation????? Hi there my name is Shirley I saw your question on this page which prompted me to sign up. I do not know any place to go in London but wondered if you do find anywhere can a new friend join you? I came to visit my sister who lives in London 3 weeks ago and decided to stay at least until the New Year.I got myself a job in a fab ladies clothes shop in Regent Street but alas have no friends.So if you can help me please reply and I will keep my ears to the ground for the good places to go.

I am still looking!!!! So if you find a good place, please post it!!!... I have been here for 2 years and still have not found a nice respectable place....What I will say is STAY AWAY from the Dover Street Wine Bar!!! The only thing you typically find there are Married Men that lie to say they are single, but they are not... They will say or do anything to take you and and most of them are complete scum and con men. It is a middle aged pick up joint and I would never advise any respectable woman to go there...Be safe!
