It's a beautiful place and in my view more uniquley diverse than any other part of London. Where else can you find a gothic shop next to an urban music shop next to a Thai resturant. But that is not just it, what you will realise about Camden is that the stores are all all orginals, even Dr Martin opened their flagship store in Camden, these are not repeated concepts and big chain franchises, this is shopping at the grass roots.
I would recommend that all you people out there in London town get down to Camden especially on a summer weekend when everyone is out, enjoy the sights, the smells, see the worlds races and cultures unfold before you in one street, then chill out afterward in one of Camden's many bars and resturants. My tip for this summers after shopping chillout is to go down to Ice Wharf on Camden Lock, it is the first modern bar with a great view, then once your done shopping and drinking finish off the day by taking a 5 min stroll down the beautiful which runs through Primrose Hill, Regents Park and little venice. Simply pop out after seeing the birdcages (FOR FREE!) on the canal in the zoo and walk up primrose hill for the perfect London city wide sunset where the view will stun and amaze you.
I never thought I would say this a few years ago but the London borough of Camden has loads to offer!
