I know thats what big cities are all about....but its the sheer volume of people everywhere you look....you sooner get past one and there's another 5 million in front of you.........as much as I love London - I hate the crowds

I think that Londoners are developing really low expectations when it comes to crowds and queueing.
You queue to get on the tube, you have to push through crowds to get to the office, you queue for a sandwich at lunchtime, queue at the bank, queue for a pint at the bar after work and then queue to get back on the tube.
... and when you have a day off on a nice sunny day you have to share a park with 5,000 others. Cosy.

I'd rather queue for a beer in London than get served straight away in Newcastle - London is crowded for a reason - it's an amazing city and everyone wants to live and work in it.
