Thats right! I said it!
I have had it upto my ears with these "street mercinaries".

Please give back parking control to the Met, at least when the police are overworked they leave my new MG alone!
Now I have to pay the ridiculous fine to get my car unclamped and in the mean time use the overground for my trips out of London ::SOB::

My most hated 2 groups on the face of this planet are the parking wardens of:

The London Borough of Camden
Westminister City Council

anyone else?

I had a ticket from a Westminster warden for parking a van outside my flat to unload some furniture Angry

I've got a zone C permit now for my car so they don't bother me anymore Happy

The argument is, of course, that they're just doing their job and you wouldn't get a ticket if you weren't parked illegally.

That said, I've had a few in London; and when I've only been over the meter by a few minutes: buggers. Angry

The other day my car broke down in central London whilst running some errands. I pulled over into a ticket-machine zone parking space.

Whilst waiting for the RAC tow truck to arrive a parking attendent rocked up and was about to put a ticket on the car with me stood next to it. I said "It's broken down, I'm waiting for the tow-truck", he said "It doesn't look broken down" and then told me that I still need a parking ticket for it!

What a bloody jobsworth, I can't believe that you need a ticket for a car that's waiting for a tow truck!

"It doesn't look broken down"

Brilliant answer, what did he expect to see? Fire coming from the engine?

I would agree, Camden and Westminster are the worst. Camden have many money making scams out there.

Mogwai. Don't pay the ticket. If you appeal against it and send a copy of the breakdown recovery reciept as proof.
