Hi there, I was just wondering if anyone had seen this and could tell me if it's any good? I know it's supposed to be very impressive - just thought i'd hear it from people who've actually now seen it.

Thanks Happy

Hi Jenny

Good question, I was thinking about going to this myself but haven't spoken to anyone who's been yet.

If you click this link:

http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/show-tickets.php?event=4489

then click "Buy your tickets here" (not trying to get you to buy tickets, honest! ;)) you'll be directed to the ticket purchasing system which has a short video preview of the show - it looks very good from that.

If anyone reading this has been please do let us know what you thought.

If you are a Tolkien officionado you will love the new Lord of the Rings Musical. It is is a faithful interpretation of the three tome epic wonderfully condensed into a three hour extravaganza. The effects are stunning and you can feel the scorching breath of the Balroc up in the Gods. It more than rivals the cinema version with the addition of haunting music and stunning, and I mean stunning, special effects. The actor who plays Gollum steals the show! Go and be amazed!!!! Anyone with arachnophobia do not apply!!!!

Welcome Dawn

Thanks for posting that - the show sounds fantastic - we've got a few LOTR fanatics in the family so I'll definately be booking tickets now.

It's a stage musical not a film and lasts around 3 hours long.

You could do a matinee on a Saturday if you can't do evenings.

LOTR's has two matinees. Besides the one on Saturday, there's one on Thursday, as well. Both start at 2:30pm I believe.

Few performances have had to be cancelled due to an on-stage injury.

If anyone is interested, my husband and I have 2 extra tickets for the show tonight. They are great seats, Stalls, P35 and 36. We bought them on the Telegraph 4 tickets for 100 pounds special offer. I will sell them at face value, 25 pounds each. If interested, please respond. I will meet you there since we are going.
