Flip Flops - they are everywhere!!!

What is the big attraction with Flip Flops? Hellooo, this is a city not surfers paradise. They might look OK (ish) on a beach with a swimsuit and sarong. Other than that, they are ugly. Why would anyone think they are suitable attire for the office or any other job. There must be some kind of health and safety clause attached to them. How come the people that wear them never feel the cold. Why do most women wear them one size too small with their heels hanging over the back. Why would you think I want to sit on the tube every morning looking at the unpleasentness that is negelcted and often unwashed feet. And when you do see a set of beautifully pedicured feet in them it's spoilt by there being no 'Flip Flop' noises at all it's usually a shuffle and dragging of feet. Buy some shoes people or at least a nice pair of sandles if you must.

I agree that flip flops shouldn't be worn in the office, but I can honestly say I haven't seen anyone wearing flip flops in inapropriate places. Maybe it's just a london thing... But they are good in warm, sticky weather as they keep your feet cool. If you would like to invent shoes that are of a more appropriate footwear for the summer, go ahead. Otherwise, LONG LIVE THE HILARIOUS SOUNDING FEET COOLERS!! ;) :)

I have to agree I do find them annoying. Actually I think I find the type of person who wears them in the city more annoying than the actual footwear.
