Hi all,

Ok then, we've been inspired by the Great Climate Change Swindle thread in the London Issues forum to start this thread.

The idea is to post ways of reducing your carbon footprint on a daily basis just by making small changes.

We're going to use the examples provided by Grumpy Old Woman to get it started.

To add your own just increase the last tip number by 1 and write away.

Please don't use this thread for chatting or replying to the ideas, please start other threads for that

Right then,

1. say no to the plastic bag the insist on giving you for one small item

2. say no to the half dozen napkins they throw in, you only need one.

3. Buy a thermos cup and when you get your morning coffee at whatever outlet ask them to make it in your cup, most places are happy to oblige.. you will be saving 5 paper cups per week.

4. Carry a reusable bag with you when buying a few items from Sainsburys on the way home, or if you don't have one on your person insist on packing your own bag at the checkout. You have more chance of getting all the items in one bag that way.

5. Stop wearing perfume or after shave everyday, save it for special occasions, when one comes around you probably won't bother, lessening the invisable chemical fog around us. (Please don't stop washing though!!).

This is all very well, but is Global Warming really happening? I mean, I've heard that it's just what happens to the earth every so often... I dunno :confused2: Don't shun me however! I only found out that it might not actually be due to us from my boyfriend... lol!

16. Give money to an environmental charity/plant a tree every time you take a plane ride.
