Well actually, not the Queenie but the BBC...

In the whole "BBC has made an almighty cock-up because the Queen would never have a tantrum" debacle does anyone else think that the Beeb REALLY went on with the apology and made a really big song and dance about it?

Did they go over the top with the apology because the Beeb has always had good links with the Royals and what they did was tantamount to treason?

I reckon that she did have a tantrum and then the Palace made a really big song and dance about it probably threatened all kinds of action and then made sure they went over the top with an apology.

I mean, whatever the order of events, she was definately having a strop when she was about to walk through that door saying "I don't want to wear these thing anymore" etc... and also her answer to Annie Leibovitz was pretty kurt irrelevant of context.

What does everyone else think?

I thought everyone had finished apologising for this and I'm just listening to Radio 2 and on the news now - it says that the producer from the company that made the program has "apologised UNRESERVEDLY"...

OK, OK we get the message, you made a cock-up. I agree I think there's something fishy going on... it's not like an apology has been issued and then let's move on... it keeps getting dragged up... "the aldy doth protest too much" indeed.
