The recent UK floods... Cameron's comments

Yet again I was peeved to see some unimaginative political point scoring by David Cameron in the wake of the recent flooding in the Midlands.

He came straight out of the traps denigrating the government for how they failed to protect against the floods and how they were handling the aftermath… the annoying thing is that as he was saying this rain was still falling in the Welsh Hills causing water levels to continue to rise. Instead of putting effort into supporting the people in crisis and trying to do things to help them he wandered around the flooded streets in his shirt, jacket and public school Hunter wellies telling everyone that he’d have done things better. What he should’ve been doing was rolling up his sleeves, grabbing sandbags and lending a hand instead of diverting the media attention away from the problems at hand.
Surely his political one-upmanship could’ve waited until he returned to Whitehall.

Well David Cameron, you’ve just lost a vote.
What an absolute arse of a man.

Thanks for pointing that out. I wasnt flooded, but just round the corner was. Everyone I know in Tewkesbury had water in. It stunk, it was so frightening when it happened coz in some parts it just rose up through the floorboards. I drove down a road but had to make a quick turn right coz I was met with a wall of water. That was tame to what a lot of people went through. That man never saw any of that.
He never saw the damage it left behind or the people who lost everything. Someone I know was so upset coz all her kids baby photos have gone. And do you know what? Already people who were not directly affected by all that have forgotten. So will he.
