Where's the best place for a stag party to stay?

Hi,

I'm organising a stag party for 11 lads. We're coming down from Nottingham for a weekend in June. I've only ever been to London once before when I was about 5 so I don't know where to start looking for places to stay and go.

I've got ideas for the entertainment but I'm struggling to decide where we should be based. Most of the entertainment is in central areas so any ideas on where best to stay would be appreciated. I'm trying to keep the accommodation costs down so that there's plenty of money for the "entertainment"

cheers

Mate, you wanna be staying somewhere central cos that's where you'll be partying. You shouldn't let long tube journeys get in the way of all the drinking!
If I was you I'd look to be staying somewhere right in the middle - around the tottenham court rd, oxford circus, leicester square area, as there's plenty of great bars, clubs and fantastic skirt! Also then it wont be too far to walk for your " entertainment Wink " (which you'll find in soho.)

Use this site cos it shows you all the bars and hotels near a certain tube stop so that you don't have to travel too far like for the tottenham court rd tube www.allinlondon.co.uk/tube-tottenham-court-road.php you can see all the nearby pubs clubs and hotels.

Have a good one!

Thanks for your reply. I've had a good look around and there are a couple of cheap(ish) hotels around that area.

I reckon I'll book one of those up.

Now to book the entertainment Cool Dude Wink

Happy and by the way, they cater for groups from only £12 a night
it looks pretty good - if you use it let me know what its like (I saw it advertised on tv on a holiday programme)

Hi all,

That sounds like a good deal pete, ideal if you're looking after the pennies, the location is great.

If you want more facilities try some of the cheaper hotels in the area. Use our hotel search or browse through the tube listings pages to get an idea of what's around.

Any more questions let us know.

I've been in London for one month and I know one thing. £1 pound pints at the Generator hostel bar till 9pm would be a good start and with accomodation that has been rated one of the 10 best places to stay in London. I don't think you could go wrong. Look up www.generatorhostels.com
