Hello,

I'm looking for a list of romantic restaurants in London to impress the girlfriend with. Now, I'm no Donald Trump so I need somewhere that looks more expensive that it actually is.

If anyone's got any tips that would be great. I've looked at a bunch of other sites but they just seem to have basic listings about each, I'd rather hear from someone who's been.

All the best,

I think these are considered pretty good for romantic meals, although none are cheap:

Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea

Blakes

Langan's Brasserie

Le Gavroche

I've not been to any of those but I'd recommend the following:
Circus - very good food
Quod - nice food, great location and not too pricey.
Boulevard Brasserie - it's got character and the food is nice, it's also reasonably priced.

With any of those 3 you'd be on a winner I reckon Cool Dude

Cheers,
Mogwai Happy

Hi John,
I got taken to Rhodes TwentyFour and it was fantastic.
You get top class food and try and get a seat near the window as then you get an absolutely amazing view over the city.
I had a fantastic night. Definitely the most romantic dining experience I've ever had.
I'm sure it's not cheap but then again, I wasn't paying! Happy

Thanks for your suggestions Mogwai and Tina.

I've booked a table at Circus in Soho, gone with the pre theatre menu, it looks nice hopefully she'll like it.

I've also booked tickets for a show so I can justify the cheap menu.
