Does anyone know if it is safe to buy gold rings from beggars on the road side.

Hi weatherman,

Whilst we don't like to make snap judgements about things based on little information in this case I'd say it has almost certainly come from a dubious source and the money will 99% likely be used for destructive purposes... so our advice would be no, don't buy rings from beggars.

Do you know whether it is a gold ring in the first place? Not a cheap plated silver or brass ring? How do you know that it was not stolen from someone? If this is the case, you will be liable to return the ring if the cops come after you. This even if you actually paid the beggar for it. Your recourse to action will be to catch and sue the beggar. You cannot refuse to return the ring to the cops. Sounds strange that someone should even consider buying anything from a begger.
