the golden compass came out not so long ago and i just reliesed that there was a huge casting for this aswell...but i didnt hear about it!!

U always hear about people winning roles for new films and stuff...but where can you find information out about them..i live in newcastle and have only ever heard of the audition for luna lovegood in 2006!!

Good question!
You have to keep your ears pretty close to the ground for these auditions and you'll hear about most of them through stage schools and agencies... or you can just frequently keep googling. The keywords to use are "open auditions" which means that anyone can have a go, it's not just closed off to pros.
Googling the following "open film auditions" just returned quite a few results.
Anyone that's got anymore first hand advice please feel free to post.
