Okey, I have one question about things that I can take with me to Gatwick airport(pity, no flights with British Airways to Heathrow)...
Can I take with me in the suitcase... ehmm, pills, medicines which contain for example codeine derivatives? OMG
And those machines on the airport will "notice" substances like these?
And can I take antidepressants? Which also contain drugs?

Please, help <3

You can take pills etc in your suitcase- machine dont detect
and in your hand luggage if you put them in a clear plastic bag....
to be on the safe have a doctors note with you which you can show them..
Also make sure you dont have a lock on your suitcase- just zip it up because they are allowed to break the locks now...

yea they may ask you for it but i dont really think they will read it or anything just the fact you have one with you will probably be enough just to show they are yours :D

I wouldn't worry - loads of people have to take medication with them in their suitacases and hand luggage so it's really common and security are used to it. If you want to be absolutely safe I agree that taking a Doctors note will mean you have all angles covered.

Have a good flight & enjoy your trip
