Looking for a forest in south-west London

Hello!

Maybe somebody knows if there is some forest in south-west direction from London where it is good to walk and also where one may pick berries/mushrooms?

Richmond Park? Not really a forest but a very big park area with lots of trees etc.

Also seems there are no berries and mushrooms in Richmond park.
I heard about Epping forest near Harlow, but it is too far from me (I live in Kingston).

Have you seen this group http://www.fungitobewith.org/ ?

Looks like you might not have to go too far to find mushrooms in forest - they seem to even be in the less wild parks.
