The Absolut Ice Bar

Residing at -5 degrees in London's Heddon Street is Below Zero and The Absolut Ice bar, an offshoot of the original Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Lapland, Sweeden this night spot is almost like something from a bond film.

Opened last month, Below Zero boasts a two floored resturant and lounge bar, the likes of which London has never seen before. Guests have the option of dropping in for a meal chosen from the tasty European menu or chilling out in the Absolut Bar whilst enjoying anything from Moet to iced cocktails and ultimate the signature drink Absolut Vodka.

The unique selling point of Below Zero if you haven't noticed yet is the temperature, everything including seats, tables and the bar. Even glases are crafted from ice shipped from the original Ice Hotel in Sweeden, ensuring that the ice is and remains clear.

If any of you are worrying about the temperature, don't worry, think Bond again because all guests are given a stylish cape and gloves to keep you warm. Unfortunatly this adds to the costs meaning whilst visits to Below Zero are free, time in the Ice Bar is reserved in advance for 45 minute slots costing £12 per head, extras include your own cape, glass and your first cocktail free.

The Ice Bar is open from 11:30am to 11:30pm through the week and Below Zero opens from midday, so why not drop in and make your pre-club drinks slightly more interesting.
