New down here

Hey, I'm moving down at the end of August. Thought I would say hello. Going to be working on either Carnaby Street or on Oxford Street.

Any hints on places to live? Can pay about £500ish all in. Any help would be appreciated.

Have to say that 500 squid isn't that much in property terms these days sadly. I think your best bet is to find a small group to share with as a one bed or even bedsit isn't do-able for that price in a decent area. Then given that you're so central, perhaps you could take the bus rather than the tube in to work. This would mean you could be away from the main tube routes and so bring the cost down. How about Battersea/Queenstown Rd as a starter for 10? good areas, close to Clapham Junction with loads of bars/restaurants/shops and an easy bus route to Oxford/Regents Street??

Anyone else have any ideas??
