Forum layout

Hate to be a moany old bag but i think the new layout looks too cluttered. Its all squished on the page.

Thanks for the feedback.

As you've noticed we've changed the forum home page around a bit. The reason being that new posts were getting lost and the top 10 latest posts weren't really enough. We find it easier to see all the latest posts on one page rather than having to go into each section separately. The other way to do it would be to list the separate topics underneath the latest posts list which would force them way down the page and a lot of people probably wouldn't notice them.

We're open to suggestions from regular users, if you all hate it please let us know what you'd change and we'll have another look at it.

I like the forum megastars bit.... even though i'm not on it :laugh:

I don't mind the 'latest' post being there i just think its over taking forum section a little.

I'm probably going to word this wrong but here goes :emb: :laugh:

It is possible to view a section say 'everything else' & instantly see that i've posted in a particular thread?
So when i going into that section i can see i've posted on the 'friday four' thread without having to click on it.

Does that make any sense? :emb:

I have a suggestion. I like the main page, where you see the most recent topics that have been added to, but as well as the date when it was last updated, a time would be good, possibly a username. They do it like this in a nother forum I go to, and it helps you keep on top of that you've read and what you haven't as a user.

hey guys, just logged on here for the first time in a couple of weeks (im useless i know!!! ) :laugh: im a little confused by the new layout at the mo, but i'll have a scoot around and see if there's any feedback i can give. you do like to keep us on our toes dont you AIL?! lol

It saves me looking in each section, i can clearly see what the recent thread are.

ail i say stay witht the new layout - its very practical, especially with reading peoples posts when thay're quoting and i really dig the list of latest posts on the right on the forum homepage.
