What is your favourite cake?

Mine is a simple sponge cake with icing on it.

I spent most of yesterday baking cakes, biscuits & mince pies Tongue

No surprises to find me on this thread, Daisy!
There were no takers for the 3pm tea party on the Friday 4 thread.

I guess it's just you and me then.
I see you have plenty to eat there. ;) :tongue2:

Blimey i made 2 lemon cakes yesterday, 1 for my SIL & 1 for my mum.
I then made about 18 mince pies with some lovely sweet pastry.
Then i made cupcakes with american frosting & decorated them with various things.
Finally i made biscuits.

Unfortunately the cupcakes & biscuits when to the helpers at the playcentre as a thank you for letting 2 of my kids go there during the holidays.

Plenty of mince pies though ..... oh & i have some cream too

I just realised I didn't reply to the original question.
A homemade victoria sponge is lovely, I like a sprinkle of sugar on top, but no icing. The filling has to be quality jam.

I also like homemade carrot cake and shop bought chocolate cake.

Mince pie eh? Mmm. Wish I worked near your college, then we could meet for tea next month. I make a mean brownie.

I made a carrot cake once  didn't turn out too good.
Although one of kids did like it & enjoyed it.... but he eats any kind of cake, biscuit or chocolate.

Forgot to ask, where abouts do you work?

My favourite cake is cheesecake. Most people hate school dinners but nothing will ever beat the chocolate cake with chocolate custard we had in junior school.

I loved most of my school dinners, i know not everyone did.

Puddings at school were lovely.

I've never been one for cheesecake tbh.

I might make a chocolate cake for pudding for the kids later.
